James L. Schwartzbeck

1941-2020

James Levi Schwartzbeck, 79, of Berkeley Springs, died on Tuesday, March 31, 2020 at Winchester Medical Center in Winchester, Va.

Born January 11, 1941 in Rockville, Md., he was the son of the late Russell William and Hilda Carter Schwartzbeck.

He was of Protestant faith.

He was a retired mechanic with Montgomery County Government.

He was a member of Potomac Issac Walton Gun Club and a member of the NRA.

He is survived by his wife, Helen Beach Schwartzbeck at home; one daughter, Sue Ellen Schwartzbeck, Kearneysville; three sons, James Schwartzbeck, Jr., Woodsbine, Md. and Richard Beach, Woodsboro, Md., John Schwartzbeck, Berkeley Springs; one sister, Belva Bowers of Poolesville, Md.; three brothers, Edward Schwartzbeck of Lisbon, Md., George Schwartzbeck, Martinsburg and Phillip Schwartzbeck, Boonsboro, Md.; five grandchildren, Randy Adkins, Jamie Blankenship, John Schwartzbeck, Jr. and Nathan Schwartzbeck and Joshua Schwartzbeck, Joshua Schwartzbeck and five great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Mary Shipe and two brothers, Russell and Roy Schwartzbeck and one grandson, Robert Adkins.

Private services and burial will be in Greenway Cemetery.
