James A. Jackson, Sr.
1957-2018
James Allen “Jim” Jackson, Sr., 60, of Great Cacapon, died Saturday, August 4, 2018 at War Memorial Hospital, Berkeley Springs.
Born August 5, 1957 in Charles Town, he was the son of the late Charles Junior and Elva Frances Rickard Jackson.
He had attended the Church of the Brethren.
He graduated from West Virginia public schools.
He most recently worked in housing construction and the paving business.
He and his family liked to stay at Cox Campground.
He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Melissa Maria McGowan Jackson, at home; his children, James Jackson, Jr. and Kasandra Jackson, both of Great Cacapon; one sister, Diana Cook, Harpers Ferry; two brothers, Charles “Billy” Jackson and Robert “Teddy” Jackson, both of Harpers Ferry and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Ronald Jackson.
Services and interment will be private.
Memorial contributions can be made to the funeral home to help defray funeral expenses.
Arrangements are being handled by Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 95 Union Street, Berkeley Springs.
