Iva L. Shives, 74, of Berkeley Springs, died Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at her home while under the care of Hospice of the Panhandle.

Born January 6, 1944 in Fulton County, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Jacob Randolph and Loretta Valley Werdebaugh Eader.

She was of the Protestant faith.

She attended Berkeley Springs High School.

She was the co-owner and operator of the BP gas station in Berkeley Springs.

She had been a homemaker in recent years.

Surviving are four sisters, Loretta “Peach” Stevens, Aspers, Pa., Ruth Doyle, Zephyrhills, Fla., Hester Mason, Berkeley Springs and Suzette Brackett, Winchester, Va.; two brothers, Jacob “Butch” Eader, Berkeley Springs and Richard Eader, Warfordsburg, Pa. and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lee Shives; one sister, Carol Somers and one brother, Ronald Eader.

Services and interment will be private.

Arrangements are being handled by Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 95 Union Street, Berkeley Springs.
