Indians golf team finishes fourth

The Cacapon State Park Golf Course was buzzing with high school golf last Thursday, August 27. Eleven teams from the Eastern Panhandle and also out of Class AA Region I made the trek to compete. The event gave the Region I teams a chance to play on the course that will be the site of the Class AA Region I Championships later on in September.
The home team Berkeley Springs Indians finished in fourth place with a team score of 353, which was two strokes ahead of regional foe North Marion who shot a 355. Keyser took the top team honors with a score of 329, Washington was second with a score of 333 and Jefferson was third with a score of 342.
Berkeley Springs was led by Carson Stotler who shot an 80. Jordan Miller (86), Sara Veara (88), Cole McClintock (99), Dakota Hamerick (113) and Brendan Baker (118) rounded out the scoring.
Back on August 17 the Indians finished in fourth place at the Tri County Invitational held at the Woods Resort. On August 24 the Indians finished 20th out of 28 teams at the Callaway High School Tournament held at Oglebay Resort.
