The 59th running of the Potomac Valley Conference championships were held at Keyser High School on Tuesday, October 9. The PVC schools were finally able to have a good day to run, but it was the same team from Berkeley Springs dominating the girls race.

The Berkeley Springs Lady Indians won their 12th team title which is a PVC record. Berkeley Springs (31), Frankfort (37), Tucker County (72) and Keyser (91) rounded out the top five teams.

While the Lady Indians were busy dominating the team race it was their sophomore running sensation Belle Harvey who was on a mission to repeat as PVC champion. Harvey did so in her usual dominating manner with a time of 21:29. The next closest runner to Harvey was Tucker County’s Kate Fells who was second with a time of 22:12.

The Lady Indians got a sixth place finish from senior Brooke Davison (22:57). Sophomore Taylor Mason was eighth with a time of 23:24 and senior Alex Banks was ninth with a time of 23:35 to give Berkeley Springs three runners in the top 10 and earn all PVC honors. Junior Hannah Moran finished in 11th place with a time of 24:37.

On the boys side, Berkeley Springs finished in third place with 86 points. Frankfort took the team title with a perfect score of 15 while Tucker County was second with 54 points.
