Last week Governor Jim Justice in a press conference announced that West Virginia High and Middle School winter sports would be pushed back again this time to March 1. At this time it is not known if this is the first practice date or competition date.
More information from the WVSAAC will be coming out later this week to address this and other issues.
For Berkeley Springs High School boys’ and girls’ basketball, winter cheer and wrestling athletes have been waiting patiently to see if they will ever get the opportunity to compete.
For Paw Paw Schools boys’ basketball and middle school basketball along with cheer have also been waiting.
Also waiting for their chance to compete are Warm Springs Middle School boys’ and girls’ basketball and wrestling.
