1928-2018
Goldie Marie Hovermale, age 89, of Berkeley Springs, WV, died on Sunday, August 12, 2018 at the Hospice of the Panhandle Inpatient Facility in Kearneysville, WV.
Born September 30, 1928 at her home in Spohrs Crossroads in Berkeley Springs, WV, she was the daughter of the late Clarence Henry, Sr. and Nannie Ellen Mason Anderson.
She was a member of Mt. Zion Methodist Church in Berkeley Springs, WV.
Goldie attended Spohrs Crossroads School. She was a homemaker and worked as a seasonal worker at Spohrs Crossroads Canning Factory. Goldie served on the board of directors of Spohrs Crossroads Cemetery Association and Spohrs Crossroads Community Center.
Goldie is survived by her daughter, Brenda Kay Stotler and her husband Larry of Berkeley Springs, WV, one granddaughter, Misty Lynn Stotler, one brother, Glendon Anderson of Berkeley Springs, WV and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Goldie is preceded in death by her husband, Stanley Milton Hovermale on July 9, 2008 and one brother, Clarence H. Anderson, Jr.
Family will receive friends from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, August 15, 2018 at Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 95 Union Street, Berkeley Springs, WV and one hour prior to services on Thursday at the church.
The funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. on Thursday, August 16, 2018 at Mt. Zion Methodist Church, 5377 Martinsburg Road, Berkeley Springs, WV with Pastor Kenny Mason officiating.
Burial will be in Spohrs Crossroads Cemetery.
