The first ever West Virginia High School Girls Invitational Golf Championships were held last Tuesday, September 18 at the Mingo Bottom Golf Course in Elizabeth. With 52 girls participating and representing all three levels of Class A, AA, and AAA the event was historic.
Berkeley Springs High School had freshman Sara Veara representing their program in the event.
Veara did not disappoint as she finished in 16th place out of the 52 competitors. Veara finished the course with a score of 95. Veara was the top female performer out of the schools representing the Eastern Panhandle at the tournament.
