Eric T. Hensley
1970-2020
Eric Todd Hensley, age 49, of Warfordsburg Pa., passed away on Tuesday, March 3, 2020 at the Winchester Medical Center, in Winchester, Va.
Born June 28, 1970, in McConnellsburg, Pa., he was the son of Carl E. and Betty (Weller) Hensley, of Needmore, Pa.; and the husband of Angela (Moss) Hensley.
He was a 1988 graduate of Southern Fulton High School, in Warfordsburg.
He worked for Mellott Wood Preserving, in Needmore, for over 30 years, and was a member of the Needmore Volunteer Fire Company. He was a former member of the Cub and Boy Scouts.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and making pies and apple dumplings.
In addition to his wife of 20 years and his parents, Eric is survived by one brother, Kevin E. Hensley and his wife, Barb, of Needmore; two nieces; seven nephews; two great-nieces; and two great-nephews.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Gus and Mary Weller; and paternal grandparents, Carl and Lucy Hensley.
Funeral services were held Saturday, March 7, 2020, at noon in the Orchard Ridge First Church of God, 14128 Orchard Ridge Road, Hancock, Md. Rev. Jeffrey Hawbaker officiated. The family received friends at the church from 10 a.m. until time of services. Burial followed in the adjoining church cemetery.
Arrangements were entrusted to the Grove Funeral Home, in Hancock.
