Elsie L. Roach
1933-2020
Elsie Louise Roach, 87, of Berkeley Springs, W.Va. died on Thursday, September 10, 2020 at the Winchester Medical Center.
Elsie was born on May 2, 1933 in Berkeley Springs, W.Va., a daughter of the late John D. and Lottie Wolfe Bohrer.
She was a 1955 graduate of Berkeley Springs High School, worked as a seamstress for London Fog Factory in Hancock, Md. for 23 years and a member of the Berkeley Baptist Church in Berkeley Springs, W.Va.
She loved cooking, gardening, fishing, hunting, auctions, festivals and spending time with family.
Elsie married Henry M. “Junior” Roach, Jr. on June 26, 1964 in Hancock, Md. Junior died on June 12, 2016.
Surviving are two brothers: David Bohrer and Vernon Bohrer, both of Berkeley Springs, W.Va.; a sister: Viola Stevens of Berkeley Springs, W.Va.; several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at the Berkeley Baptist Church on Wednesday, September 16, 2020 at 11 a.m. Officiating will be Rev. Joseph N. Giles, Jr. Interment will follow at the Greenway Cemetery in Berkeley Springs, W.Va. Family received friends at the Berkeley Baptist Church on Tuesday, September 15, 2020 from 6-7:30 p.m. and on Wednesday one hour prior to the service.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Berkeley Baptist Church, 172 Winchester Grade Rd, Berkeley Springs, WV 25411 or Hospice of the Panhandle, 330 Hospice Lane, Kearneysville, WV 25430.
Arrangements are by the Giffin Funeral Home & Crematory in Capon Bridge, W.Va.
