Douglas Y. Leighton
1948-2021
Douglas Yutzy Leighton, age 72, of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., died on Sunday, January 17, 2021 at The Berkeley Springs Center LLC.
Born February 10, 1948 in Cumberland, Md., he was the son of the late Floyd Oliver and Ruth Ann Yutzy Leighton.
He was a Christian. Doug was a graduate of Allegany County Public Schools and had worked with the maintenance department of Winchester Medical Center.
He liked to color and was a “total” Patsy Cline fan.
He is survived by one granddaughter, Brittney Michelle Thayer-Trent and one great-grandson, Apollo Alexzander Trent, both of Altoona, Pa.; his sister, Cindy Dahlen of Tennessee and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Cindy Pierce and his brother, Floyd Leighton.
Services and interment will be private.
