Donald L. Sheets
1935-2020
Donald Lee Sheets, 84, of Berkeley Springs, died Wednesday, April 29, 2020 at Winchester Medical Center.
Born October 15, 1935 in Ritchie County, he was the son of the late James Linn and Ardith Oletha Edwards Sheets.
He attended Independent Bible Church in Martinsburg.
He was a graduate of Berkeley Springs High School and had worked as a corporate pilot with Grove Worldwide in Shady Grove, Pa for 31 years.
He liked flying, camping and boating.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Janet Reid Fulton Sheets, at home; his children, Debra Unger, Berkeley Springs, Kimberly Miller, Martinsburg, John Sheets, Clayton, Del. and Heather Whetsel, Hedgesville; one sister, Vivian Cromer, Tazewell, Va.; one brother, Claren Sheets, Madisonville, Ky.; seven grandchildren, Shauna Lima, John Unger, Samantha Alexander, Joshua Sheets, Claire Whetsel, Ryan Whetsel and Ian Whetsel; eight great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, James Sheets.
Services and interment will be private.
