Delores S. Pownell, 75, of Hedgesville, died Saturday, June 9, 2018 at her home.
Born January 29, 1943 in Baltimore, Md., she was the daughter of the late James Roland and Thelma McDaniel Pitzer.
She was a Christian.
She attended school in Martinsburg.
She worked as a receptionist for Dr. Pepper for over 25 years before her retirement.
She liked reading, quilting, animals and watching the Nationals.
She is survived by her husband Richard Allen Pownell, Sr., at home; two daughters, Robin French and Tracy Michael, both of Hedgesville; one son, Richard Pownell, Jr., Hedgesville and one sister, Cynthia Brining, Hedgesville.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Portia Jones and two brothers, Roland and Stephen Pitzer.
Services and interment will be private.
