Delores Corbin Householder

1933-2021

Delores “Dee” Corbin Householder, 88, of Williamsport, Md., passed away Wednesday, June 2, 2021, at Doey’s House in Hagerstown, Md.

Born April 1, 1933 in Berkeley Springs, W.Va., Delores was the daughter of Elma Alvernon Hovermale (born Corbin) and the stepdaughter of the late John Washington Hovermale.

She had two siblings: her late sister, Carol Henry and her late stepbrother, Lewis “Sonny” Hovermale.

Delores graduated from Berkeley Springs High School in 1951, and immediately proceeded to wed the love of her life, Joseph Leon Householder in 1952. The two were married for 68 years before Joe’s passing in December of 2020.

In addition to being a devoted wife, mother and grandmother, Delores was a long time member of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church and retired from Mack Trucks after around 20 years of employment. She served as president of Merri-Macks from 1975-76.

She is survived by her grandson, Chris Householder and wife, Allyson; daughter-in-law, Kim Householder; nephew Kent Henry and wife, Susan and nephew Stewart Henry and wife, Betty Jo.

She was preceded in death by two sons, Joseph L. Householder II and infant, David Scott Householder and her husband Joe.

A graveside service will be held at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church, Berkeley Springs on Friday, June 11 at 12.
