Darlene M. Stanton
1960-2020
Darlene Marie Stanton, 59, of Berkeley Springs, died Wednesday, October 28, 2020 at home while under the care of Hospice of the Panhandle.
Born December 29, 1960 in Washington, D.C., she was the daughter of Barbara Maxwell Barrett of Shanghai and the late Francis Guilett Jackson.
She was a Christian.
She was a graduate of Northwestern High School in Hyattsville, Md.
She was a homemaker. She was active with Peace, Love, Paws Rescue.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her husband of 41 years, George Thornton Stanton II at home; three sons, George Stanton III and Phillip Stanton, both of Berkeley Springs and Brenton Stanton, Morgantown; three sisters, Debra Davis, Largent, Dawn Monroe, Mt. Rainer, Md. and Doreen Jackson, Berkeley Springs; one brother, Robert Jackson, Martinsburg; four grandchildren, Serenity Stanton and Aubrey Stanton, both of Berkeley Springs, Isaiah Stanton, Winchester, Va. and Adrianna Stanton, Inwood and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted at 7 p.m., Saturday, November 7 at Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 95 Union Street, Berkeley Springs. Pastor Gary Seigler will officiate. Burial will be private.
The family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
