Cynthia “Cindy” Karen Shanholtz, 70, of Danville, Va., died Thursday, August 20, 2020.

Born January 4, 1950, in Allegany Co., Md., she was the daughter of the late Robert L. and Aerietta Wolford Shanholtz.

She is survived by one daughter Tina Booth and husband Richard; three sisters, Beverly Shanholtz, Robin Shanholtz and Penny Hudgins; two brothers, Martin and Douglas Shanholtz; two granddaughters Rachel and Rebecca Booth; one great-granddaughter; one great-grandson and a number of aunts, cousins, nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother Tony Shanholtz, two nephews, Tony and Marty; two nieces, Sheri Sue and Britney.

Cindy worked with handicapped children as a School Bus aide for Montgomery Co., Md.

She enjoyed Nascar and wrestling.

Morgan County has always held a special spot in Cindy’s heart. As a young girl she often would visit the family property known as “The Wagon Wheel” and played at the Shanholtz river lot in Great Cacapon.

Graveside services will be held 11 a.m., September 5 at Enon Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Largent, W.Va.
