Cole Morris & Taylor Stotler named BSHS Senior Athletes of the Year

This past week the Athletic Department at Berkeley Springs High School released the names of their senior athletes of the year. Both seniors who earned the honors are three sport athletes for the Indians and both were The Morgan Messenger and The Hancock News Players of the Year last spring in their respective sports.

Cole Morris finishes his Berkeley Springs High School athletic career with letters in cross country (one), football (one), wrestling (four) and baseball (four).

In wrestling, Morris finished as PVC champion, Class A/AA Region I runner-up and sixth in WV A/AA State Wrestling Championships this past winter and a career record of 177-44.

In baseball, Morris was the 2019 Morgan Messenger and Hancock News All-Area Baseball Player of the Year. He was also named to the 2019 PVC baseball team and the 2019 Class AA All-State Honorable Mention team. Morris has already enlisted with the WV Air National Guard and will be heading to basic training later this summer once he graduates from Berkeley Springs High School. When he finishes basic training, Morris plans to attend WVU.

Taylor Stotler finished her Berkeley Springs High School athletic career with letters in volleyball (four), basketball (four) and softball (four).

In volleyball, Stotler was a consistent player for the Lady Indians on the court with her hustle.

In basketball, Stotler was a talented guard who could score and provide solid defensive help. This past winter Stotler was named to The Morgan Messenger and The Hancock News All-Area Girls Basketball team.

Last spring, Stotler was named Co-Player of the Year for The Morgan Messenger and The Hancock News All-Area Softball team.

Upon graduation from Berkeley Springs High School, she will head to WVU to pursue her college degree.
