Charles Christian Nasser, 50, of Berkeley Springs, died Thursday, May 14, 2020 at War Memorial Hospital.

Born January 24, 1970 in Cumberland, Md., he was the son of Lewis Michael Nasser and stepmother Geraldine Nasser of Westernport, Md. and Mary Ellen Logsdon Nasser of Cumberland, Md.

He was a Christian.

He was a 1988 graduate of Bishop Walsh High School in Cumberland and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in English from West Virginia University in Morgantown and went to United States Army War College in Carlisle, Pa.

He served for 31 years with the 167th Airlift Wing of the West Virginia Air National Guard in Martinsburg and held the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. He started his career in the Civil Engineering Squadron.

He was a member of the NRA, 10X Shooting Range Club.

He liked playing guitar, listening and playing music, shooting guns, being outdoors and camping.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife of 19 years, Donna Elaine Seibel Nasser at home; one son, Colin Nasser at home; one brother, Michael Nasser, Cumberland, Md. and nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Memorial services will be at a later date.

Memorial contributions in his memory can be made to one’s choice of charity.

Arrangements are being handled by Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 95 Union Street, Berkeley Springs.
