1941-2020
Cecilann Michael, age 79, of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., died on Friday, December 25, 2020 at her home while under the care of Hospice of the Panhandle.
Born February 17, 1941 in Berkeley Springs, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Chester Paul and Frances Amelia Shearer Lutman.
She was a member of Highland United Methodist Church.
She attended the New Hope School and first worked as a knitter with the Interwoven Hosiery Mill in Berkeley Springs. She retired as a seamstress with Londontown Manufacturing in Hancock, Md.
Cecilann enjoyed flower gardening, farming, cooking, baking and hunting with Roger.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Roger Lee Michael, at home; her daughter, Melody Lea Sheppard and her husband Dennis of Buchanan, W.Va.; one sister, Rose Marie Tumey of Dover, Del.; one brother, Philip Lutman of Memphis, Tenn.; four grandchildren, Michael Sheppard and his wife Ashley of Cottageville, W.Va., Morgan McDonald and her husband Zackery of Alum Bridge, W.Va., Samuel Sheppard and his wife Katlynn of Mt. Clare, W.Va. and Ryan Sheppard of Buchanan, W.Va.; six great grandchildren, Eliot Sheppard, Reese Sheppard, Ethan Sheppard and Charlotte Sheppard, all of Cottageville, W.Va., Jeremy McDonald and Nathan McDonald, both of Alum Bridge, W.Va. and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Ruth Judy, Marjorie Lutman and Barbara Ann Lutman and six brothers, Robert, Ned, Edward, Chester Paul, Jr., George and Richard Lutman.
Funeral services were conducted at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, December 30, 2020 at Highland United Methodist Church, 4345 Highland Ridge Road, Berkeley Springs, W.Va. where the family received friends from 1-2 p.m. Pastor Kenny Mason officiated. Interment was in Highland Cemetery.
