BSHS Indians Football 2020 final stats

The 2020 fall football season ended a few weeks ago for the Berkeley Springs Indians varsity team. The Indians finished the covid fall season with a 3-4 record and a 19th ranking in the Class AA standings. Despite only playing seven games the Indians offense and defense had some stellar numbers this season.

On offensive side of the ball the Indians finished the season with 2,569 yards of total offense. Junior quarterback Gavin Barkley finished with 102 completions out of 168 attempts for 1,368 yards passing with 17 touchdown passes and 9 interceptions.

Senior running back Peyton Thompson finished with 94 rushes for 842 yards, 6 rushing touchdowns and 5 receptions for 51 yards.

Junior running back/receiver Evan Thompson finished with 43 rushed for 267 yards, 2 rushing touchdowns, 38 receptions for 508 yards and 5 receiving touchdowns.

Sophomore receiver/quarterback Ty’mir Ross finished with 35 receptions for 728 yards, 10 receiving touchdowns, 2 completions out of 3 attempts for 95 yards passing and 1 touchdown pass.

Junior receiver Shawn Lord finished with 14 receptions for 150 yards and 2 touchdown receptions.

Junior receiver Antonio Sanchez finished with 8 receptions for 62 yards and 1 touchdown.

Sophomore Carlester Allen finished with 1 reception for 10 yards.

On the defensive side Peyton Thompson (56 solo tackles, 22 assists, 2 sacks, 13 tackles for losses and 2 fumble recoveries) led the Indians.

The Indians were also led by Hunter Ambrose (32 solo tackles, 21 assists, 6 sacks, 17 tackles for losses, 1 forced fumble and 1 fumble recovery), Shawn Lord (36 solo tackles, 14 assists, 2 sacks, 11 tackles for losses and 1 interception), Evan Thompson (31 solo tackles, 15 assists and 11 tackles for losses), R.J. Thompson (21 solo tackles, 14 assists, 1 sack and 1 tackle for loss), Ty’mir Ross (25 solo tackles, 10 assists and 4 interceptions), Conner Duvall (19 solo tackles, 8 assists, 3 sacks, 8 tackles for losses, 1 forced fumble, 2 fumble recoveries and 1 interception), Dylan Bailey (16 solo tackles, 8 assists, 9 tackles for losses and 1 interception), Gavin Barkley (13 solo tackles, 4 assists, 1 forced fumble and 1 interception), Austin Patton (7 solo tackles, 9 assists, 1 sack and 4 tackles for losses), and Shawn Ott (5 solo tackles, 5 assists, 1 sack and 3 tackles for losses) all played key defensive roles.
