This past week the Berkeley Springs High School Athletic Department recognized their senior and freshmen athletes of the year along with the Unsung Hero and MVP award winners. Also recognized was the athletes who earned All PVC, Region and State honors as well.
Cheer All PVC: Kaleah Mellott.
Volleyball All PVC: Makayla Keenan.
Girls Soccer All PVC: Mikaila Ek and Whitney Hiles.
Boys Soccer All PVC: Tristan Romo (PVC Player of the Year) and Michael Kyne.
Football All PVC: Jared Thompson, Davy Hess and Evan Thompson.
Football Honorable Mention All-State: Gavin Barkley and Peyton Thompson.
Golf All PVC: Carson Stotler and Jordan Miller.
Cross Country All PVC: Jackson Mundey and Belle Harvey (WV Class A/AA State Qualifier).
Boys Basketball: Gavin Barkley (All PVC and WV Class AA 3rd Team All-State).
Wrestling All PVC: Derek Hovermale (Coach of the Year).
Wrestling PVC Champions: Isaac Harris, Gabriel Clark, Cole Morris, Peyton Thompson and Jacob Rough.
Wrestling Class A/AA Region I: Peyton Thompson (Regional Champion), Isaac Harris (Regional Runner-up), Cole Morris (Regional Runner-up), Gabriel Clark (fourth place regionals), Evan Thompson (fourth place regionals) and Landen Riggleman (fourth place regionals).
Wrestling All-State: Isaac Harris (fourth place), Peyton Thompson (fourth place) and Cole Morris (sixth place).
