Bobbie Carol McCoy, age 86, of Hedgesville, W.Va., died on Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at Samaritan Hospice in Mount Holly, N.J.
Born May 18, 1932 in Waynesboro, Miss., she was the daughter of the late Mike Arthur and Edna Elmyra Bennett Arrington.
She was a member of Faith Bible Church in Hedgesville.
Bobbie was a graduate of Forest City High School in Forest City, Ariz., and attended Mississippi State College for Women.
She was an avid reader, enjoyed knitting, crocheting, embroidery and wrote for the monthly church newsletter.
Bobbie was a homemaker and was devoted to her family.
She is survived by her children, Paul Alan McCoy of Mount Holly, N.J., and Rex Wayne McCoy of Easton, Pa.; four grandchildren, Paul Alan McCoy, Jr. and his wife Miranda of Seacane, Pa., Tammy Elizabeth McCoy of Mount Holly, N.J., Shiloh Mailyn Francis and her husband Dave of East Windsor, N.J., and Nina Christine Brown of Pemberton, N.J.; three great grandchildren, Kayley Marie McCoy of Mount Holly, N.J., Kiya Lynn Brown of Pemberton, N.J., and Brianna Alexandria Francis of East Windsor, N.J., and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Paul Orville McCoy on August 14, 2013 and her sister, Nita Colleen Katz.
Funeral services were conducted at 1 p.m. on Sunday, January 13, 2019 at Faith Bible Church, 9495 Hedgesville Road, Hedgesville, W.Va., with Pastor Andrew Hamrick officiating. Interment was in Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
