Betty Jean Powers
1947-2021
Betty Jean Powers, 74 of Paw Paw, W.Va. passed away on Thursday, May 6, 2021 at Winchester Medical Center.
Born on February 21, 1947 in Cumberland, Md., she was the daughter of the late Eugene and Edith Twigg Snyder. Betty was a homemaker, loving wife, mother and grandmother.
She attended the Lighthouse Assembly of God Church in Paw Paw, W.Va.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister. Surviving is her husband, Lewis K. Powers; two daughters, Mitsi Fishel of Paw Paw, W.Va., Stacey Abe of Weeki Wachee, Fla.; a sister, Martha Parker of Oldtown, Md.; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held on Monday at 2 p.m. in the Lighthouse Assembly of God Church, Paw Paw, W.Va. with Pastor Earl Travis officiating. Interment followed in Camp Hill Cemetery, Paw Paw, W.Va.
The family received friends on Sunday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the church.
All arrangements were handled by McKee Funeral Home, Augusta, W.Va.
