1951-2020

Barbara Ann (Roach) Kave, 68, died March 26, 2020 with her family by her side in Falling Waters, W.Va.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a loyal friend to many throughout her life.

She attended Beulah Baptist Church.

She enjoyed traveling, NASCAR, fishing and just spending time with family and friends.

Also, she was a longtime member of the Moose lodge in Berkeley Springs.

She was always willing to give a helping hand to anyone and everyone. She treated people like family.

She was born September 13, 1951, in Berkeley Springs to parents Leonard and Mary Roach.

Barbara grew up in West Virginia. In 1969, she married the love of her life Edward L. Kave, of Berkeley Springs.

She worked for Kmart for more than 20 years until an injury required her to retire. Over the years, she was co-owner of Kave’s Electric early in life and more known Kave’s Used Auto Parts for 20+ years in Falling Waters. In 2007, with her daughter Ann, she opened Kave’s Special T Country Store to keep her busy in retirement.

Barbara was preceded in death by her beloved parents, husband of 37 years Ed Kave and son Mace Kave.

She is survived by her longtime friend Bill Lewis; her son Vic Kave; her daughter Ann Cosner; stepdaughter Tammy Hensler; stepson Ed Kave and her sisters Shirley Robinson, Marie Wills, Wilma Richards, Robin Hamrick and brother Danny Roach plus several aunts, uncles, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She will be deeply missed by her family and all who knew her.

A memorial service is pending due to the COVID-19 virus restrictions on public gatherings. The immediate family will consider how to best move forward in honoring our mother.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations in her name to the American Cancer Society for lung cancer research.
