Audrey Kay Conway, 69, of Berkeley Springs, died Sunday, May 6, 2018 at her home while under the care of Hospice of the Panhandle.
Born April 23, 1949 in Bradford, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Robert Wesley and Thelma Ruth Rippley Hardy.
She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Berkeley Springs.
She was a 1967 graduate of the Bradford Area High School. She earned a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Maryland and earned a Master’s Degree in religion and religious education from Catholic University.
She retired as an Intelligence Analyst with the National Security Administration.
She was active with helping the homeless at Our Daily Bread, Baltimore, Md. and the Last Chance Church, Winchester, Va.
She was a member of the Red Hat Society. She liked sketching and knitting.
Surviving are her husband, James Patrick Conway, at home; four step daughters, Ann Conway, Annapolis, Md., Teresa Love, Severna Park, Md., Carolyn Hoare, New York City, N.Y. and Christina Lawrence, Savannah, Ga. and six grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 11 at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, Liberty and S. Washington streets, Berkeley Springs with Rev. Fr. Leonard A. Smith as celebrant and Rev. Fr. John L. Lombardi as concelebrant. Entombment will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 12 in Willow Dale Cemetery, Bradford, Pa.
The family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m. on Thursday at Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 95 Union Street, Berkeley Springs where the Rosary will be recited at 6 p.m.
