Anna Marie Heironimus, age 98, of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., died on Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at her home while under the care of Hospice of the Panhandle.

Born June 4, 1922 in Morgan County, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Evie Smith and Mary Luella Stover Stotler.

She attended Greenwood United Methodist Church and Beacon Baptist Church. She attended the Pine Grove School.

Anna worked seasonally at local canneries, at National Fruit in Winchester and retired from the housekeeping department of Cacapon State Park.

She was a member of South Morgan Volunteer Fire Department, the staff of the Morgan County Rescue Squad Thrift Shop and was very active in community activities.

She enjoyed quilting, gardening, auctions, car rides and loved to play bingo.

Anna is survived by six of her children, Ellamae Houston, Lynda Bradley, Kenneth Heironimus and Richard Heironimus, all of Berkeley Springs, Charles “Chuck” Heironimus and Donald “Jimmy” Heironimus, both of Inwood, W.Va.; one brother, Ervin Smith “Buddy” Stotler of Berkeley Springs, 20 grandchildren, many great grandchildren, great great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Edwin Heironimus on September 6, 1991; four children, Retha Crosen, Clifford Heironimus, Judy Heironimus and Bonita “Bonnie” Kline; four sisters, Edith L. Omps, Ruth V. Heironimus, Blanche L. Omps, Pearl Myerheffer; two infant sisters and two brothers, Melvin Stotler and Thomas Stotler.

Funeral services were conducted at 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 6, 2021 at Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 95 Union Street, Berkeley Springs, W.Va. with Pastor Lloyd McCanna officiating. Private burial was in Greenwood Cemetery.

The family received friends from 4-8 p.m. on Friday at the funeral home which opened from 9:30 a.m.-8 p.m. for the convenience of family and friends.
