Amy C. Barnes
1924-2020
Amy C. Barnes, 95, of Winchester, Va., died Sunday, April 5, 2020.
She was born June 22, 1924 in Morgan County, the daughter of the late Peter H. Henry and Hattie Henry Henry.
She is survived by her husband Stanley D. Barnes of Winchester; daughter, Anna Lee Frederick, Berkeley Springs; two brothers, Fred Henry and Irvin Henry, both of Berkeley Springs; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren, three step-great-grandchildren and four step-great-great-grandchildren. S
he was preceded in death by a daughter, Shirley M. Miller; three sisters, Dorothy Goglas, Mary Ellen Braithwaite and Neva Tomlinson; three brothers, Melvin Henry, Lester Henry and Reed Henry and two grandchildren.
She was an original member of Winchester Chapter of National Federation of the Blind. She formed Amy’s Kitchen Band.
She attended First United Methodist Church in Winchester.
A private service will be held.
