Ida Marie Fisher, age 93, of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., died on Wednesday, June 29, 2022 at the Hospice of the Panhandle Inpatient Facility in Kearneysville, W.Va.

Born October 10, 1928 in the New Hope Section of Morgan County, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Henry Oliver and Virginia Mae Everett Michael.

She had been a member of Berkeley Springs Presbyterian Church since 1951.

Marie was a high school graduate and attended Mt. Vernon and Mt. Cecil Schools.

She retired as a seamstress, having worked at the Interwoven Hosiery Mill and Vanguard Products, both in Berkeley Springs.

She enjoyed flower gardening, sewing, crocheting cooking and enjoyed housekeeping.

Marie had been a homemaker in recent years.

She is survived by her children, Linda Marie Fisher of Morgantown, W.Va. and Dianne Lynn Twigg and her husband Wayne, of Martinsburg, W.Va., her sister, Louise Mellott and her husband Roger of Clear Spring, Md., two grandchildren, Christopher Twigg of Endicott, N.Y. and David Twigg of Charlotte, N.C., two great grandchildren, Kaylee Samantha Twigg and Aiden Nathaniel Twigg, both of Endicott, N.Y., her nephew, Jason Mellott of Hagerstown, Md., her niece, Karen Musser of Berkeley Springs and several additional nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Roy Fisher on April 20, 2010 and her brother, Charles Roy “Bud” Michael.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at Berkeley Springs Presbyterian Church, 101 S. Mercer Street, Berkeley Springs, W.Va. with the Rev. Dr. Alexa Smith officiating. Interment will be in Greenway Cemetery.

The family received friends from 4-7 p.m. on Tuesday, July 5 at Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Berkeley Springs, WV and one hour prior to the service at the church on Wednesday.
