Indians fall to North Marion in home bid for regional basketball title

Berkeley Springs High School’s boys basketball team brought scores of local fans onto their home court on Tuesday night, March 8, as they faced off against the North Marion in regional action. The Indians lost a close battle with the Huskies, falling 49-40 in the Class AAA, Region I tournament. Despite a Berkeley Springs lead in the third quarter, North Marion poured on the points to set the Indians back from their state tournament ambitions. Top scorers for the Tribe included Trevor Osborn, with 14 points, and Ty’Mir Ross with 11 points. More photos and full coverage of the game by Jamie Harris will be in next week’s print edition of The Morgan Messenger.

These boys played their hearts out last night. They have nothing to be feeling low about. Their record proves they don’t need a state title to know they are our best. Congratulations to the BSHS boys basketball team for a fantastic season.
