Two injured critically in Monday afternoon crash
by Geoff Fox
Two people were flown to the hospital with injuries after a pickup and a utility truck were involved in a head-on collision on U.S. 522, just south of the Hancock Bridge on Monday evening, September 27. West Virginia State Police didn’t provide any details about the accident at the scene as investigators were still at work. Units from Hancock Fire Company, Berkeley Springs Volunteer Fire Company, Hancock Rescue Squad and Morgan County Rescue Sqaud responded to the scene. U.S. 522 was closed for some time and southbound traffic was detoured onto River Road at the bridge.
How many more deaths and injuries will it take to redo this entire stretch of road?
