The Washington County Board of County Commissioners is seeking input from the public regarding where funds from the American Rescue Plan should be spent in Washington County, Maryland.
County residents can take a survey online and rank the top five priority areas for spending.
The survey asks residents to rank, in order of importance from 1 (first choice) to 5 (last choice), areas where the federal money should best be spent by the county. The online survey can be found at: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/washco-americanrescueplan.
The areas to rank are:
–Public Communication Efforts related to COVID-19
–Emergency Operations Center
–Travel, Tourism, Hospitality industry 1
–Business assistance, including non-profits
–Fire and Rescue
–Assistance to households for financial loss due to COVID-19
–Technology enhancements for more virtual services to citizens
–Employee Incentive for vaccinations
–Premium pay for essential workers
