Margaret V. McMahon
Margaret Virginia “Peggy” McMahon, age 72, of Warfordsburg, Pa., died on Sunday, December 27, 2020 at Julia Manor Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Hagerstown, Md.
Born March 14, 1948 in Washington, D.C., she was the daughter of the late Alfred Hart and Gladys Mary Cussler Dudley.
She was a graduate of Northwestern High School in Washington, D.C.
She had worked as a dental assistant and most recently worked with The Hancock News.
Peggy was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Alderton-Dawson American Legion Post #60 and Women of the Moose Chapter #1311, both in Berkeley Springs.
She loved wildlife and the outdoors, spending a lot of her time sharing with her grandchildren, especially their sporting events.
Peggy is survived by her daughter, Cherish McMahon Harvey, and her husband Chris of Warfordsburg, Pa.; one brother, Robert Dudley of North Carolina; three grandchildren, Dane Harvey and Claire Harvey, both of Warfordsburg and Jacoby McMahon of Hancock; and one great granddaughter, Payton McMahon of Hancock.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis McMahon and her son, Dane McMahon.
Services and interment will be private.
