Town of Bath voters elect mayor, council with 32 ballots

Municipal election results from the Town of Bath on Tuesday, June 11 for mayor, town recorder and five council members were cast as follows:
Mayor Scott Merki –28
Town Recorder Susan Webster–20
Councilman Chris Chapman–27
Councilman Rick Weber –26
Councilwoman Rose Jackson –25
Councilwoman Elizabeth Skinner –23
Write-in candidate John Bohrer will fill the vacant seat left by former councilman Andrew Swaim who did not seek re-election.
Town voters cast seven ballots during early voting from May 29 to June 8 and 25 ballots on Tuesday, June 11 for a total of 32 ballots cast.
An official canvass of the preliminary vote totals will be done on Monday, June 17.
There are 656 registered voters in the Town of Bath, according to the Morgan County Clerk’s office.
Less than 5% of the population voted.
Impressive levels of apathy.
Shame shame shame. To the 624 people who didnt vote you get no say. SMH
So sad,lack of turn out.The current state of politics has turned people off.
