Willard L. Mellott
Willard L. Mellott, 92, of Needmore, Pa., died Wednesday, March 6, 2019 at Fulton County Medical Center, McConnellsburg, Pa.
He was born May 24, 1926 in Thompson Township, Pa., the son of the late Jessie Garland and Blair Mellott.
He was the widower of Naomi R. Sipes Mellott whom he married on July 18, 1945 and died October 24, 2014.
He was a member of Pleasant Ridge Church of the Brethren in Needmore and a lifetime member of the Needmore Volunteer Fire Company.
He was a lifetime dairy farmer, drove school bus for the Southern Fulton School District for many years and in his younger years, he was a forest fire warden and also worked at a sawmill.
He liked spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He is survived by daughters, Connie Hamil, Needmore, Denise Mellott, McConnellsburg and Donna Brant, Harrisonville, Pa.; two sons, Lynn Mellott, Hancock and Kevin Mellott, Needmore; three brothers, Charles Mellott, Cecil Mellott and Russell Mellott, all of Needmore and one sister, Bonnie Dollinger, Needmore.
He was preceded in death by one sister, Vivian Deneen.
Religious service at Pleasant Ridge Church of the Brethren, Needmore was on Monday, March 11. Pastor Mac Miller, Pastor Roger Truax and Pastor Dick Bernhard officiated.
Interment at Pleasant Ridge Church of the Brethren Cemetery, Needmore.
