Melvin Leroy Iden, 92, of Warfordsburg, Pa., died Tuesday, March 13, 2018 at his home, while under the care of Hartland Hospice.
Born February 13, 1926 in Hancock, he was the son of the late Ernest and Ethel Stotler Iden.
He was the first employee hired by Callas Construction, Inc. in Hagerstown and he retired from his employment with them.
He is survived by one daughter, Rebecca “Becky” Vantz, Berkeley Springs; one son, Randy Mills, Warfordsburg; one brother, Paul Iden, Hancock; one sister, Patricia Morris, Warfordsburg; three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by six brothers and two sisters.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, March 24 at the Warfordsburg Presbyterian Church, 12941 Buck Valley Road, Warfordsburg. Rev. Edward Blank will officiate. Burial will follow in the Warfordsburg Presybterian Cemetery.
