Teacher’s legacy continue

Dear Editor:

The contributions and caring of Angela Bryner, former high school music teacher, to Morgan County students lives on. If the performance on July 14 by previous recipients of the annually awarded Angela Bryner Memorial Scholarship are indicative of future benefits to the community, we can anticipate further rich performing arts programs.

Emily Hornbaker on clarinet, Ashley Shade’s vocals and Korinne Cowles’ dance illustrated the benefits of supporting these talented young performers. An old recording of Angela Bryner singing provided the music for a charming dance routine by Kelly Moon and Bryner’s two youngest granddaughters, Julia and Sophie. Her oldest granddaughter, Jenna Barch, wrote a poem for the occasion.

Former colleagues Wayne Shade, Michael Pingley and Melanie Files shared moving and humorous memories. Files stressed the fact that 100% of all donations to Angela Bryner Memorial Scholarship Fund are used for scholarships.
