Thomas C. Shockey

Thomas Clifton Shockey, 87, of Berkeley Springs, died Monday, July 9, 2012 at Winchester Medical Center, Winchester, Va.

Born in Morgan County, July 8, 1925, he was the son of the late James Walter Shockey, Sr. and Margaret Leary Shockey.

He was retired from U.S. Silica, Quality Control Laboratory.

He was a graduate of West Virginia University and had attended Potomac University.

He was a member of Trinity-Asbury U.M. Church and a U.S. Navy veteran of WWII.

He was a member of Alderton-Dawson American Legion Post 60 and DeFord Masonic Lodge #88 A.F.&A.M. Scottish Rite of Free Masonry 32 of Martinsburg.

He was preceded in death by his wife Peggy Ann Nelan Shockey on October 8, 2010 and a brother, Walter Shockey, Jr.

Surviving are one daughter, Cynthia A. Marra, Ben Salem, Pa.; one son, Bryan T. Shockey, Jefferson, Md.; one brother, Frank Shockey, Shrewsbury, Md.; three grandchildren, Sara Robertson, Emma Robertson and Jared Shockey; two step-grandchildren, Zachary and Chelsea Williams and two nieces and one nephew.

Friends will be received at Hunter-Anderson Funeral Home, 36 South Green Street, Berkeley Springs, Friday, July 13 from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 14 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.

Burial will be in Greenway Cemetery, Berkeley Springs with military graveside rites by Tri-State Honor Guard and graveside service by DeFord Masonic Lodge.
