Linn L. Oaks

Linn L. Oaks, 63, of Rockville, Md., died July 1, 2012 at home.

A celebration of life was held at Greenridge Baptist Church on Saturday, July 7.

She was born July 12, 1948, in Littlefield, Texas.

She obtained AA and BA degrees in computer science from the University of Maryland’s University College and an MS in systems engineering from the University of Maryland graduate school.

She worked for Wang Laboratories, Siebel, Informix, IBM and Oracle, as a systems consultant.

She was a stained glass artist and liked reading, traveling and spending time at their second home in Berkeley Springs.
She is survived by her husband of nearly 45 years, Stan Oaks, Jr.; two daughters, Debby Courtis, Rockville and Kim Howes, Monrovia, Md. and three grandchildren, Cassie Courtis, Kyle Howes and Kaden Howes.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Alvin and Mary Kintner and a brother, Joseph Kintner.
