Ice House user meeting announced by Arts Council

As part of its months-long evaluation and planning project, the Morgan Arts Council is scheduling a meeting from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, July 5 at the Ice House.

Conducted by MAC's interim executive director, Anne Beckley, the meeting focuses on those individuals and groups who use the Ice House.

"Drawings for renovation are being completed and will be released for bid soon," said Beckley.

"This meeting gives people a last chance for reviewing and commenting both on the renovation plans and on programming that can happen after the work."

Different topics are scheduled at particular times although people are encouraged to attend the entire meeting.

"We'll start with visual arts, move onto classes and then finish with theater and music," explained Beckley. Each segment will take about 30 minutes.

"Anyone concerned about using the Ice House for non-arts festivals and events should attend during the theater and music segments," she said.

Beckley confirmed that the public is welcome to participate and attend as much of the meeting as they choose.
