William G. Baxter
William George Baxter, 64, of Hedgesville, died Thursday, June 21, 2012 at his home while under the care of Hospice of the Panhandle.
Born October 26, 1947 in Washington, D.C., he was the son of the late Frank Alfred and Doris Victoria Wright Baxter.
He was a graduate of a private military academy in Florida. He served with the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
Prior to his illness, he was a self-employed contractor, was a member of the Rainbow Party. He was a stained glass artisan and liked woodworking.
He is survived by two daughters, Naomi Cora Baxter, Gainesville, Fla. and Osha Baxter, High Springs, Fla.; one brother, John Baxter, Bakersfield, Calif. and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Frank Baxter.
Services and interment will be private.
