Donna M. Schetrompf

Donna Marie Schetrompf, 59, of Hancock, died Friday, June 15, 2012, at Meritus Medical Center, in Hagerstown, Md.

Born December 24, 1952, in Berkeley Springs, she was the daughter of Ira Moats, Jr., of Hancock and the late Virginia Weller Noel; and the wife of Homer E. Schetrompf, Jr., of Hancock, whom she married December 5, 1969.

She was a homemaker and a member of Webster B. Harrison Post #26 American Legion Auxiliary.

She was a member of St. Thomas’ Episcopal Church in Hancock.

Besides her father and husband, she is survived by two sons, Homer E. Schetrompf III, Berkeley Springs and Mark Allen Schetrompf, Waynesboro, Pa.; two sisters, Norma Evans and Linda McCusker, both of Hancock; one brother, Randy Moats, Hancock and five grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Penny Charlene Schetrompf, who died January 20, 2009.

A service was held Tuesday, June 19, at St. Thomas’ Episcopal Church, Hancock. Rev. F. Allan Weatherholt, Jr. officiated. Burial was in Damascus Cemetery, Big Cove Tannery, Pa.

Grove Funeral Home, Hancock, handled the arrangements.
