Kenneth L. Swaim

Kenneth Lewis Swaim, 84, of Berkeley Springs, died Tuesday, June 5, 2012 at War Memorial Hospital in Berkeley Springs.

Born November 15, 1927 in Cumberland, Md., he was the son of the late Irvin N. and Agnes V. Rankin Swaim.

He was of Protestant faith.

He attended New Hope School and Berkeley Springs High School.

He retired in 1990 after 44 years working as an electronics inspector for Fairchild Industries.

He was a member of Mountain State Cruiser Car Club.

He liked flea markets and collecting antiques.

He is survived by his wife, Viola Jean Hovermale Swaim, at home; two sisters, Altha Nestor, State College, Pa. and Patricia “Pat” Kesecker, Berkeley Springs; one brother, Stanley Swaim, Culpeper, Va. and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one infant daughter, Gloria Jean Swaim and one brother, James Swaim.

Memorial services were conducted Saturday, June 9 at Wesleyan Chapel, Berkeley Springs, with Rev. William C. Swope officiating. Private burial was in Duckwall Cemetery.
