Juanita B. Haverstraw

Juanita Barbara Haverstraw, 77, of Berkeley Springs and formerly of Parkersburg, died Friday, June 8, 2012 at Autumn Acres Personal Care.

Born March 30, 1935 in Wood County in Parkersburg, she was the daughter of the late Oren Snow and Essie Luella Barnes Haverstraw and Carl Sheppard and Gretta Freshwater.

She was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Parkerburg.

She is a graduate of Harrisville High School in Harrisville.

She retired as a nursing assistant from Camden-Clark Hospital in Parkersburg. After retirement, she worked as a Wal-Mart door greeter.

She is survived by three sisters, Janice Maxson, Berkeley Springs; Patricia Estep, North Myrtle Beach, S.C. and Melanie Lanham, Richlands, N.C.; one brother, Jerry Hartleber, South Charleston; one niece and nine nephews.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one sister, Shirley Oxley and one niece.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m., today, Wednesday, June 13, at Leavitt Funeral Home, 403 7th Street, Parkersburg, with Rev. Kurt Busiek officiating. Burial will be Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Parkersburg.
