BSHS Valedictorian, Salutatorian
Kelsey Weimer has been named the 2012 Valedictorian for Berkeley Springs High School.
She is the daughter of Erin Richards and Mark Weimer.
Throughout high school, she was the vice president of her class, a captain of the BSHS Kids for the Cure Relay-for-Life team, an AP Scholar, a member of the National Honors Society, a member of the varsity tennis team, and a student representative on the Morgan County Board of Education.
After high school, she plans to obtain a dual major in Finance and International Relations and a minor in political science from Dartmouth College in Hanover, N.H.
Zachary White is the Salutatorian for the Class of 2012.
He is the son of Jeff and Tammy White.
He played football for the Indians all four years of high school, earning varsity letters three of the four years. He was the starting quarterback as a sophomore and junior. His senior year he played running back. He was also team captain as a senior and received second team All-PVC and Honorable Mention All-Area honors. He has participated in Student Council throughout high school, and was vice president as a senior. He is a member of National Honors Society.
He was a member of Congresswoman Shelley Moore Capito’s Student Advisory Committee as a junior. He is a member of First United Methodist Church’s Youth Group. He has volunteered for Habitat for Humanity and Red Cross.
Next fall, he will attend Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, Md. He plans to major in Civil Engineering and minor in Entrepreneurship and Management.
