John T. Fearnow, Jr.

John Tyler Fearnow, Jr., 87, died May 5, 2012 at his residence in Sterling, Va.

He is survived by his wife June DeHaven Fearnow; one son, Monty Fearnow, Sterling; one daughter, Susan Fearnow, Oak Hill, Va.; one grandson, Brian Tyler Stephan, Oak Hill and two sisters, Maxine Gobiel, Birmingham, Ala. and Catherine Dougal, Kerrville, Texas.

Besides his parents Bettie and Tyler Fearnow he was preceded in death by one son, John Tyler Fearnow III and one brother, George Fearnow.

He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, May 9 and 1 p.m. until funeral service time, 2, Thursday, May 10 at Galilee United Methodist Church, 45425 Winding Road, Sterling, Va.

Interment will follow at Chestnut Grove Cemetery, Herndon, Va.
