Naomi K. Fisher

Naomi Katherine “Blondie” Fisher, 88, of Berkeley Springs, died Wednesday, May 2, 2012 at Winchester Medical Center.

Born December 30, 1923 at Martin’s Mountain, Md., she was the daughter of the late Ira and Emma Bohrer Bohrer.

She was a member of Berkeley Springs Presbyterian Church.

She attended public schools in Berkeley Springs.

She retired in 1985 as a presser with London Fog Manufacturing in Hancock.

She liked camping, reading and had been a homemaker in recent years.

Surviving are her husband of 70 1/2 years, Bernard Ray Fisher, at home; one daughter, Kathy Rae Fisher Burke, Bunker Hill; four sisters, Helen Tobin, Bunker Hill, Ruby Miller, Mary Ann Byers and Phyllis Michael, all of Martinsburg; five brothers, Edgar Bohrer, Bunker Hill, Stanley Bohrer, Roger Bohrer and David Bohrer, all of Martinsburg and Gary Bohrer, Inwood; one grandson, Donald Keller Burke III, Hedgesville; one great-grandson and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Opal Laing and Glenna Laing and two brothers, Ernest Bohrer and Winton Bohrer.

Funeral services were conducted Saturday, May 5 at Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home & Cremation Center, Berkeley Springs with Rev. William C. Swope officiating. Interment was in Spohrs Crossroads Cemetery.
