Why?

Dear Editor:

We know from ongoing news reports that the Country Inn situation has been going on for a long time, but from the Morgan Messenger’s front page story last week, we don’t know why. Did the reporter ask the Country Inn proprietors why they are refusing to pay taxes collected from their unknowing customers?

Whatever the reason — and we would like to hear it — until the tax issue is resolved, we will redirect friends and family to other lodgings in Berkeley Springs.
