Library Friends offer scholarships

Once again this spring, the Friends of the Morgan County Public Library are offering two $1,000 scholarships to graduating seniors enrolled in either of the two Morgan County high schools.

The scholarships are offered to students who plan to attend any institution of learning beyond high school within the state of West Virginia.

This includes, four-year colleges, two-year college, trade schools and other facilities offering advanced specialized training. No particular major is specified.

The scholarships will be based on academic achievement, community service, and financial need, among other criteria.

Applications are available at the Morgan County Public Library or from the high school guidance counselors. The deadline for applying is March 31.
