“Wildlife signs” walk at Cacapon State Park
The Potomac Valley Audubon Society is sponsoring a "Wildlife Signs" walk at the Cacapon State Park in Morgan County on Saturday, March 17.
The event is free and anyone is welcome to join in.
Participants should meet at 10 a.m. at the Park's Nature Center. The walk will begin from there and be led by the Park's new naturalist, Renee Fincham, and local naturalist Joe Gentile.
This will be a family-friendly event that will show how to look for tracks and other signs of wildlife in West Virginia forests.
Pre-registration is recommended but not required. People can register online on the PVAS website or contact Kelly Wolf at 304-229-6229 or 540-931-5945.
Participants should wear sturdy footwear and dress appropriately for the prevailing weather conditions.
In the event of rain or snow, the walk will be rescheduled to Saturday, March 24.
