Sheriff Vince Shambaugh reports the following calls, investigations and reports this past week:

January 1
Theft of bicycle on Union Street, bike recovered at Sheetz.
Report of unknown subject knocking on window of residence on Briarwood Lane. Officers unable to locate anyone.
Shots heard on Johnson Mill Road.
Intoxicated female at War Memorial Hospital.
Unwanted person Paw Paw Road, left voluntarily.
Assisted State Police with search for subject who fled from officers.
Larceny complaint Open Meadow Lane, various items taken.
Larceny complaint on Finch Drive, batteries and wires from towable trailer taken.

January 2
Arrest of Rick L. Snow II, 26, for possession less than 15 grams.

January 3
Breaking and entering report at Affordable Spas.
Two pedestrians struck by vehicle in McDonald’s parking lot, minor injuries.
Alarm Douglas Lane, all secure.

January 4
Vehicle struck by large truck at U.S. Silica.
Pedestrian struck by tractor trailer on Route 522 S.

January 5
Telephone harassment complaint, Wilkes Street.
Property dispute, Berryville Circle.
Death investigation North Washington Street, circumstances still under investigation.
Entering without breaking report, Burnt Mill Road.
Alarm at Sheetz, accidental set off.

January 6
Arrest of Cortney Natasha Kesecker, 18, for possession of controlled substance.
Domestic dispute South Washington Street, all verbal.
911 hang up Edge of Woods Lane.

January 7
Domestic dispute, Pious View Lane.
Threats complaint taken at station.
Keep the peace on Valley Road.
For the week of January1-7, also issued six traffic citations, nine traffic warnings, served 26 civil papers and responded to 22 calls not requiring a report.

January 8
Burglary, North Washington Street.
Burglary, Mourning Dove Lane.

January 9
Arrest of James R. Yost, 36, for DUI 2nd.
Arrest of Donald D. Rutherford, 33, burglary warrant.
Arrest of Gary V. Mathias, 38, public intoxication.
Arrest of Cyrus J. Meade, 20, capias warrant.
Telephone harassment, Waterstone Court.
Burglary, Fairfax Street.
Alarm, White Oak Lane.

January 10
Report of stolen vehicle, Briarwood Circle, determined to be repossession.
Threats complaint at Dept. of Health and Human Resources. Charges pending.

January 11
Recovery of stolen property from Morgan County in Baltimore.
Interview of witnesses for investigation of suspicious death.
Arrest of Rodney E. John-son, 46, for destruction of property.

January 12
Burglary, Foggy Bottom Lane.
Reckless driver complaint, Spruce Pine Hollow.
EMS assisted, Chestnut Oak Lane.
Transport from Sharp Hospital to Eastern Regional Jail.

January 13
Arrest of Kevin A. Mauck, 21, for terroristic threats.
Assisted WVSP with vehicle crash Martinsburg Road.
Domestic disturbance, Valley Road.
Alarm, Tabor Road, secure.
EMS assisted, Spielman Road.
Burglary, Apache Lane.
Suspicious vehicle, Timber Ridge Road.

January 14
Verbal domestic disturbance, Kimber Court.
Verbal domestic disturbance, Bristol Lane.
For the week of January 8-14, also issued 17 traffic citations, 29 traffic warnings, served 34 papers and responded to 48 calls not requiring a report.

January 15
Welfare check Detour Road, all secure.
Keep the peace, verbal dispute, Kimber Court.
EPO service, Bowers Lane.
Alarm, Chestnut Oak Lane.
Burglary on Sandmine Road.
Arrest of Jesse L. Hayes, 19, for DUI causing injury.

January 16
Spotlighting complaint Paw Paw.
Welfare check Hobday Court.
Single vehicle accident Clone Run Road, no injuries.
Unconscious female North Washington Street, drug paraphernalia located, charges pending.
Alarm, Sugar Hollow Road, all secure.
Domestic dispute at Sheetz, all verbal.

January 17
Arrest William J. Sager, 43, on capias warrant.
Arrest of Jason Dale Shoemaker, 28, for shoplifting and public intoxication.
Welfare check Mauzy Road, no contact.
Alarm Ridersville Cycle, all secure.
Report of driver leaving scene after striking a parked vehicle at Food Lion.

January 18
Two vehicle accident on Potter Road, no injuries.
Alarm on Defense Drive, all secure.
Reckless driving complaint on 522 South, vehicle located running stop sign, cited.

January 19
Physical altercation between two males at Route 9 and Route 522 intersection. Female struck during incident, charges pending.
Vehicle hazard 1200 block of Cacapon Road, disabled vehicle moved from roadway.
Arrest of George L. Watson, 45, for possession <15 grams of marijuana.
Domestic dispute Tabor Road, parties separated.

January 20
Single vehicle accident Crestview Lane, one injury.
Domestic dispute at BB&T Bank, under investigation.
Single vehicle accident Martinsburg Road, no injuries.
Single vehicle accident Route 522 North, no injuries.

January 21
Alarm Ridersville Cycle, all secure.
Assisted State Police with call for psychiatric issues on North Washington Street.
For the week of January 15-21 the Morgan County Sheriff’s Office also issued 16 traffic citations, 37 traffic warnings, served two civil papers and responded to 43 calls not requiring a report.
